What can I expect at Riverwood? Q: What time is service?
A: Summer Service (Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend) begins at 9:00 am. If you have children, please allow time to get them settled in the kidz area or nursery.
Regular service times are 9 and 10:45 am. Nursery and kidz stuff is held during the summer and regular service times.
Q: What is a typical Riverwood service like?
A: We begin with singing. We call it worship. The worship team leads with awesome Christian contemporary music. After singing, sometimes there's a video or drama before the message.
Communion is celebrated the 2nd Sunday of the month following the service. At Riverwood, we practice what we call "Open Communion" which means all who have trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and committed to following Him are welcome and encouraged to join us for Communion.
A: Visiting a church can be scary stuff. Once you find a parking spot and walk in the door, we hope you will feel instantly at home. You'll be greeted by a friendly face and handed a program Then you're done. That's it. We don't bug you, we don't follow you in the auditorium. You're free to sit wherever you want.
Q: What kind of church is Riverwood? A: We are a church for people who may have given up on church, but not on God.
